Naturns – 1st location certified as “Alpine Wellness Place”

Naturns can be happy: punctual to the begin of spring Naturns has been awarded with the mark of quality “Alpine Wellness International” (AWI) and from now on the village can promote itself as “Alpine Wellness Place”.

The requirements to get this award are: the geographical position in the Alps, advised wellness, fitness and movement programs and special nutriment offers.

New Services

“The certificate was occasion to create authentic offers. We made new Kneipp-pools, new rest areas in the centre of Naturns and we generated new services who deal with healthiness and wellness”, says Stefan Perathoner, president of the tourism association Naturns. Beside of that Naturns is located amidst the Alps and in the village are already 3 AWI certified hotels.

In March Thomas Widman, member of the provincial government of South Tyrol had hand the award out and he gave his congratulation to the whole tourism association. He lauded also the guest orientation.
